Field archery rankings were calculated beginning in 2006, but have been discontinued as of 2012.

After her victory in Paris, Deepika Kumari once again topped the world archery rankings.

Deepika Kumari of India won three gold medals at the Archery World Cup Stage 3 in Paris, putting her at the top of the women’s recurve archery world rankings.

With a total of 263.7 points, Deepika Kumari jumped up two spots to take first place for the first time since 2012.

Lisa Barbelin of France comes in second with 225.5 points, followed by Kang Chae Young of Korea at 208.

Shortly after Monday’s conclusion of the World Cup in Paris, the Indian archer who is headed to Tokyo took over the No. 1 spot.

In France, Deepika Kumari not only took first place in the women’s individual competition.

But she also played a key role in the women’s recurve team’s victory and the mixed team’s silver medal performance.

Deepika Kumari’s status as the world’s best female recurve archer going into the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo is great news.

The two-time Olympian has not yet opened her Olympic medal account despite returning from London 2012 and Rio 2016 empty-handed.

Conclusion

Deepika Kumari’s father, auto-rickshaw driver Shivnarayan Mahato, and mother, Geeta, a nurse at Ranchi Medical College, brought her into the world in the city of Ranchi, Bihar (now Jharkhand).

She was born in Ranchi, Jharkhand, but she spent most of her childhood in Ratu Chatti, a village 15 kilometres outside of the city.

She used to target mangoes with stones and practise her archery skills.
